An Era Unframed Prints
In the late 90s and early 2000s late night diners were the hangout places you'd go when there was nowhere else to go and needed a place to land for a few hours. Teenagers and young adults filled these places with coffee drinkers staying for hours. Bar-goers not done partying or attempting to sober up a bit after the bars closed sharing their attempts at humor to unimpressed waitresses. Card gamers found a table to play that sometimes put those cards at risk with beverages.
I took this picture when I was a teenager working in a Denny's overnights. I was ther for over two years and during that time THAT was the the place to be in Blue Springs, Missouri ( a subburb on the outskits of the Kansas City Metropolitan Area)
I have endless stories of this time and know I became a part of other people's stories.
